A Brief History of the Record-Bulletin

The Republican Bulletin was established in 1892. the Prosser Record was established in 1893, and the Benton Independent was established in 1909. The Independent Record consolidated May 1, 1918, while the Prosser Record-Bulletin consolidated July 1, 1920.

The Prosser Record-Bulletin encourages commentary in its letters to the Editor columns. The newspaper welcomes points of view that are well reasoned, even if they are controversial. We do not publish views that are preposterous or purposefully defamatory. We reserve the right to condense and edit letters. Letters to the editor should be about 300 words in length.
